I hope that everyone is having a good week. It's been a warm winter so far so if you're looking to get out and run with a great group, be sure to join the Winter Training Program!
Next Tuesday January 31st, a group of us will be doing a swim after the 6:00PM run, so feel free to join us for the run, the swim, or both!

This Saturday, January 28th, let's meet at 7AM at Barrington High School.
Following are the details for the run: (1) The address for Barrington High School is: Park in the lot whose entrance is off of Hart Road - it is next to the track and Natatorium. The high school is typically open so let's meet inside the entrance to the Natatorium. I like to start at 7am so please allow yourself enough time for travel and using the washroom facilities. (2) There is an 8 mile and a 12+ mile route. If you are running less than 8 miles an "out and back" will be perfect! If you are running more than 12 miles there are opportunities for "looping". | Farewell Party for Julie R. | |

This Saturday, come join us as we wish Julie R. the best as she leaves the States for Djibuti! Julie has been a loyal GLR member and she has participated in many events, including the Tokyo Marathon last year. We'll miss you Julie! Her farewell party will be held at 8:00PM at Anastasia's Restaurant and Sports Lounge, 3880 Northpoint Blvd., Waukegan, IL. See you there!

Save the date of Saturday February 11th at 8:00AM at GLR for the 1st annual Valentine's Day 5K/10K. This race is free for all Winter Training Program participants and $10 for everyone else. Be sure to stop by GLR Mundelein to sign up!

The Puma jackets that are included in the Winter Training Program are available for pick up at GLR- Mundelein. Be sure to stop in Today before the run to pick up your jacket!
